Today’s Featured Goaldone Girl…Katja Presnal
Where do I begin with Katja? I’ve known her for almost 15 years and we connected as moms of young kids (who are now not so young!) and ambitious women with with big dreams…this shared drive led us to supporting each other through laughter and tears and while our lives have taken different directions, we still ultimately cheer each other on from afar. That’s why when I saw Katja had submitted her details to be featured on Goaldone Girls, it was extra special to me.
Katja is originally from Finland, where she was a model and where she was swept off her feet by an American helicopter pilot. Love can take us to places near and far and their love story brought Katja to the United States where she and her husband started a family. As her love story unfolded so did her entrepreneurial journey.
Fast forward to today, her clients call her the CEO whisperer, she’s a business consultant and recipient of multiple American Advertising Awards, a digital marketing pioneer who leveraged her marketing skills over decades to build her career as a digital nomad living around the world, returning to her home country Finland a few years ago. She has spoken at conferences around the world - and now owns the only business conference in Finland focused on social sustainability.
Her book Big Rich Money: How To Turn Your Business Intentions Into A Profitable Company was published in 2021 in English and Finnish, and you can read it for free on Kindle Unlimited right now.
A goal she accomplished in the past year was helping over 60 (yes sixty!) women speak at different professional events. Amplifying other women has always been important to me. She did this by refusing to give up, even when things got hard or seemed impossible. I know from experience that Katja is not one to take “No” for an answer. For example, a lot of the conferences and events wanted Katja to speak specifically, and rather than taking all of the opportunities for herself, she used her own influence and authority to put forward other women in her network by offering the alternative, a panel discussion, so she could be as inclusive of other women as possible. For some organizers, it took some convincing especially since many couldn’t wrap their head around why she would want to give up or even share the spotlight in the first place.
Her goal for this year is to produce her Crush event for the third year in a row and see it grow to 250-300 women gathering together in Finland at CRUSH 2025.
