Her Goal? Starting a YouTube Channel This Year

We are just a few days away from New Year’s Eve, one of the most popular goal-setting days of the year. Here at Goaldone Girls, we set and smash our goals all year long. This weekend I’ve been reading the book WORTHY by Jamie Kern Lima. In the book, she introduced a concept to me that really hit home, the point that “self-worth” is not the same as “self-confidence”, which took me a bit to wrap my head around it, but once I did, I had to ask myself some hard questions. As I get ready to launch a Facebook group for Goaldone Girls, it occurred to me that facilitating a book club could be a great way for our community to connect on a deeper level while dedicating time to our personal development.

Self-confidence is the belief in your abilities as a person. Self-worth is the belief in your value as a person.
Today’s Featured Goaldone Girl…Victoria Boyd
Victoria Boyd is a marketing strategist and the genius behind Strategies That Stack. She’s also set a lofty goal for herself as 2025 kicks off - starting a YouTube channel she is going to commit to HARD for 90-days to learn as much as she can by posting 4-days a week and documenting it along the way. Victoria is starting from scratch and is going to share EVERYTHING behind the scenes for 3-months. If you share the same goal (or you want a play-by-play either way), she’s holding nothing back and will answer your questions along the way. Don’t miss her 3-month YouTube Experiment.
Now, let’s get to know Victoria, shall we?
A lot of people wouldn't know that Victoria is also travel advisor, she truly believes the world would be a better place if we all just traveled a little more! She’s obsessed with practicing what she preaches to the members in her membership and setting an example. Her dogs are her life and she’d be lost without them! Victoria was hit by a car riding her bike and it changed everything about how she views her life and business.
I asked Victoria about a recent goal she crushed and she shared a sentiment I'm hearing from a lot of my friends this year and that I struggled with, as well. Analysis paralysis gets me every time.
“Okay so candidly this year has been really hard! A goal that I did accomplish was finally making decisions again and not only making decisions - but acting on those decisions. I'd gotten stuck in a loop of needing validation before I made any moves and that' just wasn't the vibe,” says Victoria.
So how did she do this?,
“I set an intention beginning of this year to ‘feel safe in my body again’. That extended beyond just the mental health side of the statement to feeling those gut feelings and actually following those intuitive hits.”
She also says that Glennon Doyle’s book, Untamed, also made a big impact on her ability to reach her goals. I read this book a few years ago, too, and it’s one that definitely sticks with you for a while.
It wasn’t without obstacles though, getting quiet and giving herself the chance to think was a challenge she faced this year.
Everyone has their favorite tools for helping them reach their goals, for Victoria, her two favorites are:
CreatorHQ from Jay Clouse, Victoria says “Jay's framework he set up in Notion absolutely changed my life!”
Copy on Demand, “Having a copywriter look at my copy is the definition of luxe!”
I can’t wait to see what Victoria accomplishes in 2025. If you want to follow Victoria, you can find her on Instagram, TikTok and Threads.

I’m not going to lie, 2024 was one of the hardest years I’ve faced in a really long time. My career took some hits, we made a big move, I became an empty nester, I had a cancer scare, and I struggled with my mental health. My big personal goal for 2024 was to launch a newsletter, I got this one started in June (thanks early subscribers!) but hit some roadblocks. As the last month of the year loomed over me, I knew I had to keep my promise to myself. One thing that helped me get my mindset right was guided meditations from Lacey Phillips. I first discovered her back in 2019 and she helped me make a big shift that summer, so I returned just in time for her authenticity challenge. If you are the least bit interested in guided meditations (you’re brought almost into a hypnotic state as Lacey leads you through visualizations for about 20 minutes) vs a mindfulness type meditation (where you focus on your breath and observe your own thoughts - which I am admittedly horrible at), I invite you try ToBeMagnetic.com and use my code JESSICA8465 for 15% off.
